The argument over free will vs. sovereignty or the inevitability of one’s sin nature may seem like the purview of philosophers and theologians but really it comes down to the liberty given to the people. Are we doomed to be killers or thieves? Can we seek professional help to overcome our nature or is it just inevitable that we are born the way we are and we are hopelessly enslaved to sin?
