There are a whole lot of terrible things happening in this world that Christians should oppose but there are also terrible things happening inside the church too. Such as Catholic Church leaders in Texas on Thursday identified 286 priests and others accused of sexually abusing children.
Pastor and other church leaders are becoming wary of tackling social issues but that is exactly what is needed, starting with sin within the church. The Lord promises forgiveness and mercy because of His goodness when we call upon His name. Opposing sin is meant to bring correction not condemnation; after all there is no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus.
