Russia has established an air base in Syria and begun to fly drones and station heavy aircraft and other weapons in support of President Bashar al-Assad. What is the response of President Obama’s administration?
“We are aware of the situation and we are concerned.”
Concerned?!? Really?
While I understand that the cold war ended decades ago, the fact remains that Russian President Vladimir Putin is having his way with America and the world, while the president is concerned.
The president of the United States of America has once again abdicated the role America usually plays on the world stage, relegating the country once again to just another player and not the superpower that we once were.
This is part of the fall of the United States from a place of blessing and influence to just another vote at the UN. When you consider that only sixty years ago President John F. Kennedy stood up the Russians when they tried to establish a foothold in North America.
The Cuban missile crisis was a formative moment for the US and Russia and kept the Soviet Union from dominating the world. Today, President Putin can act with impunity to expand Russia’s boarders as he sees fit and President Obama is impotent to act in any serious way.
Many have speculated if Russia is the Gog and Magog identified in scripture as a last days aggressor, many have also asked the question where is America in the last days and it appears we have our answer, America is concerned.
But let’s face it, concerned doesn’t even get you an honorable mention in the Bible.
