What does it mean to be free and how far should freedom of speech be allowed to go? While liberals will fight to their last to allow the freedom to produce porn, they will not fight Muslims in their violence to limit freedom of speech when it comes to drawing their so called prophet.
Pamela Geller, the President of the American Freedom Defense Initiative (AFDI), is holding the First Annual Muhammad Art Exhibit and Contest in Garland, Texas at the same location as a Muslim group held a “Stand with the Prophet” conference in January. The winning cartoonist will receive a $10,000 prize. The exhibit will feature images of Islam’s prophet in both historical and contemporary settings.
There still seem to be some fight in Texas, I pray that more stand up to totalitarianism across the fruited plains.
Understand, this is not islam-a-phobia. This would be the opposite of a phobia. We should not be afraid of the people of Islam.
Just as I can’t kill someone for painting a picture of Jesus, even if it offends me, Muslims can not kill others for painting a picture of someone they claim is Muhammad. Even if their holy book demands it.
