It should be shocking to learn that in the Oklahoma City school system only 1 in 4 children can tell time on an analog clock or watch! Not only does this expose the serious deficit in our education system but our dependence on technology.
While technology in the form of smart phones, laptops and tablets is a blessing and these skills learned, we should also be teaching our children the basics such as writing, math and yes, how to use analog equipment.
What would happen if we lost access to the Internet or electricity due to a natural or manmade disaster? How would we adapt if the electronics were taken away?
