According to African cardinal Robert Sarah, the United States is losing its ability to connect with God because “God is being eroded, eclipsed, liquidated,”
The United States has “in the name of ‘tolerance'” allowed this erosion through “the legalization of same sex marriage, the obligation to accept contraception within health care programs, and even ‘bathroom bills’ that allow men to use the women’s restrooms and locker rooms.”
Cardinal Sarah was the keynote speaker at the National Catholic Prayer Breakfast in Washington, D.C., on Tuesday and he made it clear that the United States was on a dangerous path to self destruction that would destroy not only what remained of the family but society as a whole.
While it is refreshing to hear other faith leaders speak out against the destructive road America has chosen for itself, we need all Christian leaders from every corner of this country and around the world to speak out against the abject immorality our leaders are demanding we submit to.
New York City is drafting new rules that business should use nonsensical terms such as “ze” or “zir” or addressing people as Mr. or Mrs. could cost as much as $250,000. While you could be fined $125,000 for calling someone Mr. after they have told you to call Miss, willfully continuing to call them Mr. could double the fine and if you have an employee who disagrees with the policy they should be fired, so much for freedom of speech.
These kinds of laws are just starting to pop up in traditional liberal bastions like New York City and San Francisco but know that just like same sex marriage and the bathroom wars these laws will spread nation wide.
Muslim leaders and Christian sympathizers in America are beginning to call on Christians to recognize the false prophet Mohamed as true in several high profile news outlets like the Huffington Post. These call outs will get louder and more frequent, you can mark my words but more on that another time.
The effort is under way to make it more difficult to connect to the One True God of scripture. Biblical views will increasingly be seen as hate speech and larger fines and even jail time will be brought to silence those who preach against sin and preach for the solution that is Jesus Christ.
But make no mistake, the Lord cannot be silenced and the light cannot be snuffed out. We who believe in Jesus Christ are children of the day and we will remain true to the call of the gospel. We were not called to wrath but to shine the truth in love to a dying world that loves the darkness more than the light.
We know that we have trouble as Cardinal Sarah warned when the laws of America cannot uphold common sense in stopping a man in a dress from entering the ladies’ room but I think his call on our reaction is correct in that we should speak the truth and pray.
