There is a turning away from economic principles that have worked in the past as more than half the US population does not work but depends on those that do. We know that socialism has always failed and that biblical principles of work have succeeded.
But not enough of us know this lesson of history because we no longer teach such truths to our students. That is what Bernie Sanders and Hillary Clinton are banking on and why their campaigns are centered on giving stuff away.
