Persecution of Christians is spreading worldwide as the flood of Muslim migrants engulfs Europe and the United States. Christians are being told to be quiet, to not show their bibles or crosses, they are being treated poorly in once majority Christian nations.
Nations like Germany were the Reformation started with Martin Luther standing up to a church that did not allow the word of God to transform lives by permitting it to be read in the common tongue.
Germany is taking its politically correct thinking to absurd levels by allowing so called Muslim refugees to intimidate Christians when they do not pray to the false god of Islam or threaten them for having a copy of the true God’s word. Christians living in migrant housing are told they are “impure as a dog” and deserved death for rejecting Islam, they must have their church services in secret.
France now has so many Muslim refugees that they are now asking citizens to open their doors to take them in as the camps are overflowing.
In the United States cities and towns are being sued by the federal government for not allowing mosques to be built where Muslims demand even when there is one nearby that services the Islamic population and would be disruptive to traffic flow and neighborhood ordinances long set in place.
The persecution of Christians is getting worse around the world but for those in the Middle East even where the Islamic State is not in control, Christians are suffering at the hands of Muslims who desire to make them submit to their idols.
But Christians from these places are asking us not to pray for an end to the persecution but for the Lord to continue to use it.
The bible plainly teaches that persecution of the church is to be expected and that we should be praising the Lord for it. It turns out that the church grows and people are saved because of trials and tribulations and that we are really to count it all joy.
There is hope found in Jesus that is just not available to the Muslim. When the Islamic State came and butchered people, Christians did not shrink from the sword but where bold for Jesus and that hope and joy shone though in the darkness and people noticed.
Western Christians have had the luxury to have faith in Jesus without fear of death, but that time is quickly coming to an end. This is what the Lord said would happen that people would mistreat believers and spitefully use them for His name sake.
He said we would have trouble but that it was only for a little while.
Now is the time to know whom you have believed, now is the time to know what you believe and to make sure you have sound doctrine and an answer for the hope that lies within. Now is the time stand up for Jesus and not deny His name because the Day is drawing near.
