Sexual immorality is certainly a sign of many of the generations living today, from fornication to adultery, easy no fault divorce to homosexuality to even a man suing Kim Davis for not allowing him to marry his computer.
The latest trend in sexual immorality is only driving us closer to becoming the terminal generations spoken of in the book of Revelation, and that is casual prostitution among college students selling themselves to gain a higher standard of living.
20 something men and women are prostituting themselves to older wealthier men and even women to become girlfriends or boyfriends who can hold interesting conversations and sexual favors without strings and the normal drama of a relationship attached.
It is the logical extension of permissive and casual relationships without the true commitment of marriage. Many of these young harlots take on three or more of these relationships at once to enjoy a much greater income than most of their peers can find in the workforce, after all college loans, nicer cars and a decent place to live don’t come cheap.
Why is such a thing as widely accepted as prostitution a sign of the times?
When most people read the book of Revelation they can be overwhelmed by the seals, the trumpets and the bowls, they might also get caught up in the mark of the beast and the meaning of 666 and even which asteroid NASA has named Wormwood.
Rarely do we see end times authors selling lots of books on the sins found during the end times because they seem rather boring. But, the whore of Babylon did not get her title because she is chaste and as pure as the driven snow, take a moment to consider the condemnation she receives in Revelation 14:8:
Another angel, a second, followed, saying, “Fallen, fallen is Babylon the great, she who made all nations drink the wine of the passion of her sexual immorality.”
There are many other verses not only found in the book of Revelation but throughout scripture that condemn the people on earth during the end times for their sexual immorality.
What we should take notice of is the sexual immorality and other egregious sins that make the generations living now comparable to the days of Noah and of Sodom and Gomorrah.
Sexual sins are not the only sins we share with those times but sexual deviancy becomes prolific when the Lord is removed from most of the human race and that is what we are seeing now as major magazine publications not only report common prostitution but even glorify and glamorize it as a healthy way to enjoy a better lifestyle.
These issues matter and we must understand that we have chosen to accept these immoral acts and not challenge people even in the church on what we are doing to this world and how we are hastening the rise of the lawless one.
While we should all cry out for the return of the Lord to come quickly, we should not ignore the fact that we are losing so many people to the enemy, they will very easily bow down to the beast and take his mark. It is up to us to declare the gospel of Jesus Christ and challenge sin until the Lord’s return after all there is no return from the lake of fire if you die taking the mark.
