Jesus Saves Christmas

There is an interesting play on words in Matthew 1:21 where it says that the Lord will be named Jesus because He will save His people from their sins.
This word play is there because Matthew was written in Hebrew first and then rewritten in Greek.
To the larger point it will take Jesus to save and redeem Christmas, as we are powerless to do so.
